SHARP, VERSATILE, VC!!!!

I am a proud owner of a Canon 5DMk3, 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS and Sigma 50mm 1.4 and I do primarily portraits. I needed something wider than the 50mm though and wanted something that would be a nice walk-around lens. The 24-105L wouldn't fit the bill as it's rather slow, and for portraits, or weddings (which I do sometimes) it wouldn't be useful. I HATE the original Canon 24-70 because it reverse extends, is huge, and the image quality isn't as good as other L lenses.
ENTER TAMRON. I've used Tamron lenses in the past and they're made quite well. This 24-70mm f/2.8 has VC, VC that works VERY VERY WELL. I ordered it with an "82mm Circular Polarizing HD (High Density) Digital Glass Filter" by Hoya and put it on immediately. I notice a bit of vignetting in the corners at the long and wide focal lengths under f/4, but nothing significant.
This lens is surprisingly sharp. Only thing I don't like about it is that Tamron lenses zoom in the opposite direction as Canon lenses.... ugh... confusing when I'm switching back and forth. Otherwise, GREAT lens so far!! I'm very happy with this purchase! It also has a zoom-lock on it, though I haven't needed it yet!
